Non-emergency medical transportation in Crystal City, VA

Non-Emergency Medical Transportation in Crystal City, VA

Safe, reliable rides for seniors and individuals with disabilities.

Why Choose Us

Crystal City is a vertical neighborhood — a dense pocket of high-rise condos and apartments along Crystal Drive and Route 1 where thousands of seniors, federal retirees, and longtime residents have made their homes for decades. The Metro is close, the underground concourse is close, and Pentagon City is a few blocks west, but none of that helps when a rider can't navigate elevators, platform crowds, or curb pickups alone. We provide professional, door-to-door non-emergency medical transportation across Crystal City and Arlington County, with dependable rides to dialysis at DaVita Crystal City Dialysis, oncology and specialist visits at Virginia Hospital Center, and discharges from Inova Alexandria Hospital.

Every ride starts where you live — inside the lobby of your building, the concierge desk, or your apartment door if that's what the day calls for. We help you into the vehicle, take the steady route through Route 1 traffic, and meet you at the entrance of every appointment. When the visit ends, the ride is already there. It's the kind of care we'd want for our own parents.

Testimonials

I had outpatient knee surgery and was on crutches. The driver helped me into the vehicle, adjusted the seat, and made sure my leg was elevated. That level of thought makes all the difference.
– Steven K.

Four months of three-times-a-week rides and counting. The billing is straightforward, the drivers are excellent, and the scheduling never overlaps or conflicts. They run a tight operation.
– Carl R.

My wheelchair has a tall headrest that hits the ceiling in most vans. Their vehicles have enough clearance that I can ride comfortably without hunching forward. Finally, a service that understands different chair sizes.
– Mabel J.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I book a ride?

The quickest way is to call 877-369-5457, or you can tap the "Book a Ride" button anywhere on our site. For non-urgent trips, give us 24 to 48 hours of notice when you can — same-day rides are sometimes possible depending on where you are in the corridor.

Do you accept Medicaid, Medicare or other health insurance?

We take credit card or cash payment if you book directly with us. For payment using health plans or 3rd party-payers, you will need to contact these parties directly to secure authorization of the trips and many of them may require you to book directly through them.

How far in advance should I schedule my ride?

For routine appointments we recommend 24 to 48 hours of lead time, ideally the longer end. Rush hour on I-395, the 14th Street Bridge, and Route 1 adds 30 to 45 minutes to cross-Potomac trips. We coordinate pickups inside loading docks at Crystal Houses and Crystal Towers.

Do your vehicles accommodate wheelchairs?

Yes — just flag it at booking and we'll line up the right vehicle. Our accessible vans are fitted with ramps and approved tie-downs, and we handle manual chairs, power chairs, and scooters. Your driver assists from the building entrance through securement and back at drop-off.

Can a family member ride along?

Absolutely. A family member, friend, or caregiver is welcome to come along at no extra charge in most cases. Mention the additional rider when you book so we send a vehicle with the right seating and plan the pickup accordingly.

What is NEMT?

NEMT is short for Non-Emergency Medical Transportation. It's a planned ride service for people who need to reach medical care safely but aren't dealing with an emergency that calls for an ambulance crew or sirens.

Riders are usually seniors who no longer drive, adults living with a disability, or anyone managing a condition that makes the wheel risky. The vehicle is matched to the trip — wheelchair-accessible vans with ramps, stretcher-equipped transport for flat trips, and standard cars with drivers trained to walk you in.

Many of these rides repeat on a fixed pattern — dialysis every other day, weekly therapy, monthly infusions — while others are one-time trips after an outpatient procedure or a hospital stay. Either way, the point stays the same: getting people to the care that keeps them healthy and living on their own terms.

Powered by Modern Technology

Every ride is dispatched through Duet, a leading NEMT software platform. That means real-time tracking from your phone, scheduling you can rely on, and clear communication between rider and driver from booking to drop-off.

More Than a Ride

When a family puts a parent or spouse in our care for the afternoon, they're handing us the person who matters most. We don't take that lightly. From the first call to the last step back inside the lobby, our service is built around a simple commitment: no one riding with us should ever wonder whether the ride will show.
