Non-Emergency Medical Transportation in Burke, VA
Safe, reliable rides for seniors and individuals with disabilities.
Why Choose Us
Burke is a quiet, master-planned corner of Fairfax County, but the medical care its residents need almost always sits somewhere else — Inova Fairfax Hospital up the Parkway, Inova Fair Oaks Hospital out on Route 50, and Kaiser Permanente Springfield off the Franconia-Springfield Parkway. We provide door-to-door non-emergency medical transportation for those longer runs and the closer ones, like an outpatient visit at Kaiser Permanente Burke Medical Center on Burke Commons Road, a senior program at Shepherd's Center of Fairfax-Burke, or a dialysis session at DaVita CDc Of Springfield.
Each ride begins at your front door. Our drivers walk you to the van, take a moment to make sure you're settled in, and pull away only when you're comfortable. After the appointment, they're already in the parking lot waiting. It's the unhurried, attentive service most of us would want for our own parent — built around the simple truth that the rider in our care is the person someone loves most.

Testimonials
The driver helped me from the hospital entrance all the way to my front door. He even carried my bag inside. That level of care is rare and I'm grateful for it.
– Michael B.
My wife has regular treatments at the cancer center. The same driver picks her up most days and they've developed a real rapport. That personal touch means the world during a difficult time.
– Henry R.
Getting in and out of vehicles is the hardest part of my day. Their drivers make it the easiest. Patient, skilled, and always making sure my chair is rock-solid before we move.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I book a ride?
Give us a call at 877-369-5457 or use the "Book a Ride" button anywhere on the site. Most non-urgent trips work best with 24 to 48 hours of notice, though same-day pickups are sometimes available depending on where you live and the time of day.
Do you accept Medicaid, Medicare or other health insurance?
We take credit card or cash payment if you book directly with us. For payment using health plans or 3rd party-payers, you will need to contact these parties directly to secure authorization of the trips and many of them may require you to book directly through them.
How far in advance should I schedule my ride?
Aim for 24 to 48 hours ahead on routine visits. Northern Virginia rush hour on Fairfax County Parkway and Braddock Road adds 20 to 30 minutes, and trips toward Inova Fairfax Hospital or DC need extra buffer at peak times. Standing schedules are easy to set up.
Do your vehicles accommodate wheelchairs?
Yes, and the easiest thing to do is mention it on the booking call. We run wheelchair-accessible vans with ramps and proper tie-down hardware, and we accommodate manual chairs, power chairs, and mobility scooters. We'll have the right vehicle assigned long before pickup.
Can a family member ride along?
Yes — a spouse, adult child, caregiver, or close friend is welcome to ride with you in most cases at no added cost. Let us know during booking that an extra person is coming so the driver can plan ahead for the seat.

What is NEMT?
NEMT — short for Non-Emergency Medical Transportation — is a ride service for people who need a safe, dependable way to reach a medical appointment but whose situation doesn't warrant the cost or urgency of an ambulance call.
The people who lean on it are mostly seniors who've handed over the keys, adults living with a long-term disability, and anyone whose health makes driving a risk. Vehicles are matched to the rider — wheelchair vans with ramps and tie-downs, stretcher-equipped transport, and standard cars staffed by drivers trained in walking assistance.
Plenty of these rides run on a weekly cadence — Monday-Wednesday-Friday dialysis, ongoing physical therapy, regular oncology check-ins. Others are single trips, like a discharge from Inova Fairfax or a pickup after outpatient surgery. The aim is the same: keep people connected to the care that keeps them well.
Powered by Modern Technology
Every trip we run is built on Duet, a leading NEMT software platform that brings real-time vehicle tracking, dependable scheduling, and steady communication between rider, family, and driver from the first call through arrival home.
More Than a Ride
A booking with us is rarely just logistics. It's a daughter handing over her father, a wife arranging her husband's discharge, a neighbor checking in on a friend who lives alone. We carry that weight with us. Every call and every trip is shaped by one quiet promise: the ride should be the part nobody has to worry about.
