Non-Emergency Medical Transportation in Huntsville, TX
Safe, reliable rides for seniors and individuals with disabilities.
Why Choose Us
Huntsville anchors Walker County along I-45, with residents spread across the city core, the Sam Houston State University area, and rural addresses deep into the county. Huntsville Memorial Hospital is the only hospital in town, so much of our work is driving riders south on I-45 to HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe, Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital, and the Texas Medical Center, or west on TX-30 to Baylor Scott & White in College Station. We provide door-to-door medical transportation across Walker County for dialysis sessions at DaVita Huntsville Dialysis, specialist visits, hospital trips, and the everyday rides that keep life moving.
Every ride starts at your front door, whether you live in Elkins Lake, the SHSU area, or out on a rural Walker County road. Our drivers greet you, walk you to the vehicle, and make sure you're settled before we pull out. When your appointment ends, we're already in the parking lot waiting. It's the kind of care we'd want for our own families — built on the trust you place in us with the person who matters most.

Testimonials
The hospital called the ride for me and within forty minutes I was on my way home. The driver introduced himself, asked how I was feeling, and made sure the temperature was comfortable. Small things that made a big difference.
– Nancy T.
My mom needs regular blood work and checkups. The booking process is easy for recurring rides — I set the schedule once and they handle the rest. Couldn't be simpler.
– Diana N.
As a veteran in a wheelchair, I've dealt with a lot of medical transport. This is the first service where I felt like a person, not a logistics problem. The drivers respect you and your chair.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I book a ride?
Booking a ride is simple — phone our team at 877-369-5457 or use the "Book a Ride" button on our website. For trips that aren't urgent, we'd suggest reserving your ride a day or two ahead, but same-day pickups can sometimes be arranged depending on where you are in Huntsville.
Do you accept Medicaid, Medicare or other health insurance?
We take credit card or cash payment if you book directly with us. For payment using health plans or 3rd party-payers, you will need to contact these parties directly to secure authorization of the trips and many of them may require you to book directly through them.
How far in advance should I schedule?
Walker County is large and many specialty trips run south on I-45 to Conroe, The Woodlands, or Houston, or west on TX-30 to College Station. We ask for 24 to 48 hours of notice on routine rides, with extra lead time around SHSU move-in and graduation weekends and College Station football Saturdays.
What if I need a wheelchair-accessible vehicle?
Just flag it when you call to book and we'll send the right van. Each of our wheelchair-accessible vehicles carries a ramp and tie-down system, and we routinely transport riders in manual chairs, power chairs, and mobility scooters with no extra setup required from you.
Can a family member or caregiver ride with me?
Yes, a family member or caregiver can ride along at no additional cost in most cases. Mention them when you book so the driver knows to expect a second passenger and the vehicle is ready accordingly.

What is NEMT?
Non-Emergency Medical Transportation, often called NEMT, is a scheduled ride service for people who need to get to medical care but aren't in a situation that requires an ambulance.
Most riders are seniors who no longer drive, adults living with disabilities, and people whose health conditions make a long drive risky or unsafe. The vehicles are matched to the rider — wheelchair vans fitted with ramps and tie-downs, stretcher-equipped transport, and standard sedans paired with hands-on walking help from the driver.
Many of these trips repeat on a weekly rhythm — dialysis three sessions a week, oncology check-ins, scheduled physical therapy — while others happen once, like a ride home after outpatient surgery or a hospital discharge. The point of the service stays the same: keeping people connected to the treatment that helps them stay well and independent.
Powered by Modern Technology
Our Huntsville rides are powered by Duet, a leading NEMT software platform built to handle live vehicle tracking, dependable trip scheduling, and clear messaging between rider and driver from first booking to final drop-off.
More Than a Ride
Behind every booking is a family handing us the care of someone they love. From the first phone call to the drop-off back home in Huntsville, the whole operation is built around a single promise — nobody riding with us, and nobody waiting on a rider, should ever have to wonder whether the ride will show up.
