Non-Emergency Medical Transportation in Laurel, MD
Safe, reliable rides for seniors and individuals with disabilities.
Why Choose Us
Laurel sits at the hinge of four counties along the Baltimore-Washington corridor, and the care our neighbors need runs in every direction from there. The local hub is UM Laurel Medical Center near the Contee Road corridor, with weekly treatment at DaVita Kidney Care of Laurel and DaVita Laurel Lakes Dialysis just a short drive away. Plenty of residents also travel for specialty visits — Johns Hopkins and University of Maryland Medical Center up in Baltimore, MedStar Washington Hospital Center in D.C., or Holy Cross Hospital over in Silver Spring. We cover all of it, door to door, along with the everyday errands that loop around US-1 and the I-95 interchange.
Every ride begins at your front door, not at the curb. The driver comes up to greet you, steadies you into the vehicle, and makes sure you're settled before easing into traffic. When the appointment wraps, someone is already outside waiting for you. It's the same patient, unhurried care we'd arrange for our own parents — and the only way we know how to look after the person you love most.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I book a ride?
Call 877-369-5457 or tap the "Book a Ride" button at the top of this page. Tell us the pickup address and destination, and we handle the rest. For non-urgent trips we ask for 24 to 48 hours of notice, though same-day pickups around Laurel are often workable when a vehicle is open nearby.
Do you accept Medicaid, Medicare or other health insurance?
We take credit card or cash payment if you book directly with us. For payment using health plans or 3rd party-payers, you will need to contact these parties directly to secure authorization of the trips and many of them may require you to book directly through them.
How far in advance should I schedule?
Because Laurel spans four counties and trips often cross into Baltimore or D.C., we recommend 24 to 48 hours of lead time. Same-day rides inside Laurel — to UM Laurel Medical Center or DaVita Laurel — are often possible when a driver is free nearby.
What if I need a wheelchair-accessible vehicle?
Flag it at booking and we'll send a ramped van fitted with secure tie-down systems. Our accessible vehicles take manual wheelchairs, power chairs, and mobility scooters without any adapters or extra gear on your side. Matching the right van to the trip is our job, not yours.
Can a family member or caregiver ride with me?
Absolutely — a spouse, adult child, or paid caregiver is welcome along at no extra charge in most cases. Give us a heads-up during booking so the driver leaves a seat open and isn't caught off guard by a second passenger at the curb.

What is NEMT?
NEMT is short for Non-Emergency Medical Transportation — a scheduled ride service built around riders who need a dependable path to care but aren't facing a 911 situation. Dialysis mornings, infusion visits, and post-op pickups all fit here.
Most riders are older adults who have stepped away from driving, adults living with a disability, or anyone managing a chronic condition that makes driving unsafe. The vehicle is matched to the rider — an accessible van with ramp and tie-downs, a stretcher unit for flat-lying patients, or a standard car with walking help.
A lot of NEMT trips follow a pattern — three dialysis sessions a week, standing infusions, weekly physical therapy — while others happen just once, like a same-day surgery pickup or a hospital discharge. Either way, the point is the same: keeping riders linked to the care that keeps them independent.
Powered by Modern Technology
Every Laurel ride is coordinated through Duet (https://www.duetinc.com/), a leading NEMT software platform that ties live GPS tracking, steady pickup windows, and straight-through communication between riders, families, and drivers into one clear view.
More Than a Ride
Most of the calls that land here are from a son, a daughter, or a spouse asking for help with a loved one's next appointment. We take that call the way we'd want our own mother's ride handled. From the first hello on the phone to the last step back through the front door, nobody in your family should have to lose sleep over the ride.
