Non-Emergency Medical Transportation in Salem, MA
Safe, reliable rides for seniors and individuals with disabilities.
Why Choose Us
Salem is a compact city, but getting to medical appointments on its narrow, historic streets isn't always simple — especially for seniors and residents with mobility challenges. Whether you're heading to Salem Hospital on Highland Avenue, a dialysis session at DaVita Salem Northeast Dialysis, or a specialist visit at North Shore Community Health Center, we provide professional, door-to-door transportation across Salem and Essex County. Our service covers hospital visits, recurring treatments, everyday doctor appointments, and the non-medical rides that keep life moving — from Sunday services on Essex Street to lunch at the Levesque Community Life Center on Bridge Street.
Every ride begins at your front door. Our drivers greet you, walk alongside you, and help you get settled in the vehicle before heading out. When your appointment wraps up, they're waiting to bring you home. Testimonials
I had outpatient surgery and wasn't allowed to drive myself home. The ride was smooth, the driver was professional, and I felt completely safe. Exactly what I needed.
– Kevin W.
My mom has standing appointments every Monday and Thursday. In four months they've never been late. She actually looks forward to the rides because the drivers are so friendly.
– Peter S.
My mother's wheelchair barely fit in the last transport service we tried. This company had the right vehicle from day one. The ramp was smooth, the space was ample, and the driver was skilled with the tie-downs.
– Frances W.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I book a ride?
Give us a call at 877-369-5457 or use the "Book a Ride" button right here on our website. A day or two of notice is ideal for non-urgent trips, though we can sometimes accommodate same-day requests depending on availability in your area.
Do you accept Medicaid, Medicare or other health insurance?
We take credit card or cash payment if you book directly with us. For payment using health plans or 3rd party-payers, you will need to contact these parties directly to secure authorization of the trips and many of them may require you to book directly through them.
How far in advance should I schedule?
For rides within Salem, 24 hours is usually enough. Trips to Boston-area hospitals benefit from 48 hours of lead time. During October's busy tourist season, allow a little extra time for downtown traffic.
What if I need a wheelchair-accessible vehicle?
Let us know when you schedule your ride and we'll make sure a wheelchair-accessible van is reserved for you. Our fleet includes vehicles with ramps and secure fastening systems designed for manual chairs, power chairs, and scooters.
Can a family member or caregiver ride with me?
Absolutely — we encourage it. A family member or caregiver can join any ride at no additional cost in most situations. Just mention it during booking so we have seating arranged.

What is NEMT?
Non-Emergency Medical Transportation — NEMT for short — exists so that people who can't drive themselves still get to the medical care they need. Rather than calling an ambulance for a non-urgent trip, patients book a professional ride to dialysis, doctor visits, hospital discharges, or post-surgery pickups.
NEMT serves seniors who no longer drive, individuals living with disabilities, and anyone whose health condition makes it difficult or unsafe to get behind the wheel. Vehicles range from wheelchair-accessible vans equipped with ramps and tie-down systems to stretcher transport and standard cars with trained drivers who offer hands-on walking support.
Common NEMT trips range from recurring treatments — dialysis three times a week, radiation sessions, physical rehabilitation — to one-time needs like getting home after outpatient surgery or being discharged from the hospital. At its core, this service exists to keep people connected to the care that preserves their health and independence.
Powered by Modern Technology
Every ride is powered by Duet, a leading NEMT software platform. That gives you real-time vehicle tracking, dependable scheduling, and direct communication with your driver from the moment you book until you're home.
More Than a Ride
Every ride we provide carries something more important than a passenger — it carries a family's trust. That responsibility guides everything we do, from the care our drivers show at pickup to the attention they give on every mile of the trip. Our promise is straightforward: when your loved one rides with us, you can stop worrying about how they'll get there.
