Non-Emergency Medical Transportation in Speedway, IN

Safe, reliable rides for seniors and individuals with disabilities.

Why Choose Us

Speedway is a compact enclave town of roughly 12,000 residents tucked inside Marion County on the west side of Indianapolis, and almost every medical trip ends up crossing the city line. From dialysis at DaVita Speedway Dialysis just off Crawfordsville Road to specialty appointments at IU Health Methodist Hospital downtown or Ascension St. Vincent on the north side, the right ride often means a 15- to 25-minute drive on I-465 or West 16th Street. We provide door-to-door non-emergency medical transportation across Speedway and the wider Indianapolis metro for dialysis runs, hospital visits, doctor appointments, senior programs, and the everyday errands that keep your week in motion.

Every ride starts at your front door. Our drivers greet you, help you to the van, and make sure you're comfortable before we leave the driveway. When the appointment ends, we're already in the lot waiting. It's the kind of care we'd want for our own parents — patient, attentive, and built on the understanding that the person in our care is the person you love most.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I book a ride?

The easiest way to book is to call 877-369-5457, or use the "Book a Ride" button on our website. For non-urgent trips, reserving 24 to 48 hours ahead works best, though same-day rides may be possible depending on driver availability around the west side of Indianapolis.

Do you accept Medicaid, Medicare or other health insurance?

We take credit card or cash payment if you book directly with us. For payment using health plans or 3rd party-payers, you will need to contact these parties directly to secure authorization of the trips and many of them may require you to book directly through them.

How far in advance should I schedule my ride?

Most Speedway appointments require crossing into downtown or north-side Indianapolis, so please book 24 to 48 hours ahead. During Indy 500 race week in May, give us 3 to 5 days of notice — race traffic on West 16th Street and I-465 can add significant time.

Do your vehicles accommodate wheelchairs?

Yes, just tell us at booking. Our accessible vans use secure ramps and tie-down systems and can carry manual wheelchairs, power chairs, and scooters. Sharing the type of mobility device you use lets us match you with the right vehicle and driver from the start.

Can a family member ride along?

In nearly every case, a relative or caregiver is welcome to come along at no extra cost. Mention it when you book so the driver can plan seating and be ready for an additional passenger.

Questions? We're here to help!

What is NEMT?

NEMT — short for Non-Emergency Medical Transportation — is a planned ride service for people who need a safe, dependable way to a medical visit but don't require an ambulance. Think dialysis sessions, specialist appointments, hospital discharges, and follow-ups.

The riders who count on NEMT are usually older adults who've put away the car keys, people living with disabilities, and anyone whose condition makes driving unsafe. The vehicles match the need — wheelchair-accessible vans, stretcher transport, and standard vehicles with drivers trained in hands-on walking help.

Some bookings are recurring — three dialysis sessions a week, weekly physical therapy, monthly infusions. Others are one-off trips, like a discharge ride or a pickup after outpatient surgery. The goal stays the same — getting people to the care that keeps them healthy and independent.

Powered by Modern Technology

Every Speedway ride is dispatched through Duet, a leading NEMT software platform. That gives you live vehicle tracking, dependable scheduling, and clear communication with your driver from the moment you book through drop-off.

More Than a Ride

Every call we take is a family handing over the care of someone they love — a daughter arranging dialysis runs, a husband coordinating his wife's post-surgery ride. In a tight-knit town like Speedway, that trust matters. We carry it every mile, because no one waiting at home should wonder whether the ride is coming.
