Non-Emergency Medical Transportation in Amo, IN
Safe, reliable rides for seniors and individuals with disabilities.
Why Choose Us
Amo is a small farming town in western Hendricks County, and there isn't a hospital, dialysis center, or specialty clinic anywhere within town limits. Every medical trip means heading out — 15 to 20 minutes east along US-36 to Hendricks Regional Health in Danville, 20 to 25 minutes to IU Health West Hospital in Avon, or 35 to 45 minutes into Indianapolis for higher-acuity care. We provide professional, door-to-door medical transportation from Amo to all of those facilities, plus Franciscan Health Mooresville, the dialysis centers in Plainfield, and the everyday rides that keep rural life running.
Every ride begins at your front door, even on the gravel-edged county roads outside town. Our drivers greet you, walk you to the vehicle, and make sure you're settled before we pull away. When your appointment wraps up, we're already there. It's the kind of care you'd want for your own parent — patient, on time, and built on the trust families place in us when they hand off the person they love most.
On-Time, Every Time
We know medical appointments can't wait. Our providers prioritize punctuality so you never miss a treatment.
Trained, Compassionate Drivers

Testimonials
The driver helped me from the hospital entrance all the way to my front door. He even carried my bag inside. That level of care is rare and I'm grateful for it.
– Michael B.
My wife has regular treatments at the cancer center. The same driver picks her up most days and they've developed a real rapport. That personal touch means the world during a difficult time.
– Henry R.
Getting in and out of vehicles is the hardest part of my day. Their drivers make it the easiest. Patient, skilled, and always making sure my chair is rock-solid before we move.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I book a ride?
The simplest way to book is to call 877-369-5457, or you can tap the "Book a Ride" button at the top of any page on our site. Reserving a day or two ahead works best for routine trips, and same-day availability may be possible depending on driver location.
Do you accept Medicaid, Medicare or other health insurance?
We take credit card or cash payment if you book directly with us. For payment using health plans or 3rd party-payers, you will need to contact these parties directly to secure authorization of the trips and many of them may require you to book directly through them.
How far in advance should I schedule?
Because almost every Amo ride means traveling out of town to Avon, Plainfield, Danville, or Indianapolis, 24 to 48 hours of lead time is ideal. Early-morning dialysis and downtown Indianapolis appointments benefit from even more notice so we can leave Amo on schedule. Same-day rides may still be possible.
What if I need a wheelchair-accessible vehicle?
Mention it during booking and we'll match you with the right vehicle. Our accessible vans come with ramps and secure tie-down systems, and they handle manual wheelchairs, power chairs, and scooters. Tell us what type of mobility device you use and we'll send the proper ride.
Can a family member or caregiver ride with me?
Yes — bringing a family member or caregiver along is welcome in most cases at no extra cost. Just mention it when you book so your driver has room ready and the seating arranged.

What is NEMT?
Non-Emergency Medical Transportation, or NEMT, is a scheduled ride service for people who need to reach medical care safely but don't need an ambulance. It fills the space between a family car ride and an emergency call.
The riders who count on NEMT are usually seniors who've given up the keys, adults living with disabilities, and people whose health makes driving unsafe. The vehicles come in three forms — wheelchair-accessible vans with ramps and tie-downs, stretcher-equipped vehicles for riders who can't sit upright, and standard cars staffed with drivers trained in walking assistance.
Some riders use NEMT once — a hospital discharge, an outpatient procedure, a follow-up after surgery. Others lean on it for ongoing care like dialysis three days a week, cancer infusions, or weekly physical therapy. Either way, the goal stays the same: reaching the care that keeps people healthier and more independent.
Powered by Modern Technology
Every Amo ride runs on Duet, a leading NEMT software platform. That gives you live vehicle tracking, dependable scheduling, and direct communication with your driver from the moment you book.
More Than a Ride
Every booking is a family entrusting us with someone they love. A daughter setting up her father's dialysis runs. A wife waiting for her husband to be discharged. A son coordinating rides from out of state. We carry that weight with us every mile — and nobody waiting at home should ever have to worry about the ride.
