Non-Emergency Medical Transportation in Sawgrass, FL
Safe, reliable rides for seniors and individuals with disabilities.
Why Choose Us
Sawgrass sits behind the gates of TPC Sawgrass and the Sawgrass Country Club along A1A in St. Johns County, with no hospital inside its borders and almost every appointment waiting on the far side of the Intracoastal. That means a 20-minute run up to Mayo Clinic Jacksonville on San Pablo Road, a quick trip north to Baptist Medical Center Beaches in Jacksonville Beach, or a longer drive across JTB to Ascension St. Vincent's Southside. We provide door-to-door non-emergency medical transportation throughout Sawgrass and St. Johns County so dialysis sessions, specialist visits, and the everyday rides that keep life moving never hinge on a favor or a backed-up Palm Valley Bridge.
Every ride begins at your front door — a villa in Sawgrass Country Club, a courtyard home in Marsh Landing, a condo near Sawgrass Village. Our driver clears the guard gate ahead of time, walks you to the vehicle, and makes sure you're settled before we head out. When the appointment ends, we're already at the entrance waiting. It's the kind of attention you'd want for your own parent — patient, prompt, built on trust.

Testimonials
They handled my mother's discharge transport beautifully. She has mobility issues and the driver took extra time to make sure she was comfortable. No rushing, no impatience. Just genuine kindness.
– Virginia M.
My mom goes to her endocrinologist and her eye doctor regularly. One booking handles both recurring schedules. The coordination is seamless and the drivers know her by name.
– Irene L.
The automatic ramp in their newer vehicles is a game-changer. Smooth, quiet, and requires zero effort from me. Combined with experienced drivers, it makes wheelchair transport actually pleasant.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I book a ride?
The fastest way to book is to call 877-369-5457 or tap the "Book a Ride" button anywhere on this page. We ask for 24 to 48 hours of notice on non-urgent trips, though same-day rides are often possible when a van is already running along the A1A corridor.
Do you accept Medicaid, Medicare or other health insurance?
We take credit card or cash payment if you book directly with us. For payment using health plans or 3rd party-payers, you will need to contact these parties directly to secure authorization of the trips and many of them may require you to book directly through them.
How far in advance should I schedule my ride?
Plan on 24 to 48 hours of lead time for routine trips. Sawgrass is gated, so we factor in guard-gate check-in, and any ride crossing JTB or the Palm Valley Bridge to Mayo Clinic or Baptist Beaches needs that buffer at rush hour. For dialysis, a standing order locks in the seat.
Do your vehicles accommodate wheelchairs?
Yes — flag the wheelchair on the booking and an accessible van is dispatched. Each one is fitted with a properly rated ramp and full securement straps, and they handle manual chairs, power chairs, and most scooters. Tell us which you use so the right vehicle arrives.
Can a family member ride along?
Of course — a spouse, adult child, caregiver, or close friend is welcome in the vehicle, and the second seat usually carries no extra charge. Just flag the additional passenger when you reserve so the driver expects two at the door and the cabin is ready.

What is NEMT?
NEMT is shorthand for Non-Emergency Medical Transportation — scheduled rides built for people who need to reach medical care safely when an ambulance is overkill but driving themselves no longer feels safe.
The riders who depend on it are mostly older adults who've parked the car, people managing a long-term disability, or anyone whose treatment leaves them too drained to drive. Vehicles match the rider — wheelchair-accessible vans, stretcher units for patients who must stay flat, and standard cars staffed by drivers trained in hands-on walking support.
Plenty of these rides repeat on a calendar — three dialysis mornings, oncology cycles, weekly physical therapy — alongside one-off pickups after outpatient surgery or a hospital discharge. The aim is the same either way: keep the trip from becoming the reason someone misses care, and people hold their health longer.
Powered by Modern Technology
Every Sawgrass ride is coordinated through Duet, a leading NEMT software platform. Families get live vehicle tracking, dependable pickup windows, and direct communication between rider and driver from booking through drop-off.
More Than a Ride
Handing a parent or spouse over to someone else for a morning is a quiet act of trust. We try to be worthy of it on every ride. From the booking call to the moment your loved one is back inside their own door, our work follows one rule: nobody at home should have to wonder how the trip went.
