Non-Emergency Medical Transportation in Mount Plymouth, FL
Safe, reliable rides for seniors and individuals with disabilities.
Why Choose Us
Mount Plymouth is a small, semi-rural community tucked along SR-46 in eastern Lake County, with no hospital inside its borders and limited public transit to fall back on. That makes reliable medical transportation more than a convenience — it's how residents get to the care they need. We provide professional, door-to-door rides across Mount Plymouth and the surrounding area, whether you're heading to AdventHealth Waterman in Tavares, dialysis at DaVita Mt Dora Dialysis, a specialist visit at AdventHealth Apopka, or running errands through historic downtown Mount Dora.
Every ride begins at your front door. Our drivers greet you, walk you to the vehicle, and make sure you're settled before pulling away. When your appointment finishes, they're already there — waiting. It's the kind of attentive, on-time service we'd want for our own parents, built around the simple idea that the person we're caring for is the person someone loves most.

I was nervous about the ramp in the rain, but the driver had it covered. He laid down a non-slip mat and guided me in carefully. No drama, no slipping, just professional service in any weather.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I book a ride?
Call us at 877-369-5457 or click the "Book a Ride" button on this site. For routine, non-urgent trips we recommend booking 24-48 hours ahead, though same-day rides are sometimes available depending on what's on the schedule near you.
Do you accept Medicaid, Medicare or other health insurance?
We take credit card or cash payment if you book directly with us. For payment using health plans or 3rd party-payers, you will need to contact these parties directly to secure authorization of the trips and many of them may require you to book directly through them.
How far in advance should I schedule my ride?
Mount Plymouth's rural Lake County setting means longer drives than urban areas — about 10-15 minutes to AdventHealth Waterman, 20-25 to Apopka, and 45-60 to downtown Orlando. We recommend 24-48 hours of lead time for non-urgent rides, especially during snowbird season from November through April when SR-46 and US-441 traffic builds up.
Do your vehicles accommodate wheelchairs?
Yes — just mention it when you book. We operate wheelchair-accessible vans fitted with ramps and proper tie-down systems, and we can transport manual chairs, power chairs, and scooters alike. Letting us know in advance means we'll match you with the right vehicle for your trip.
Can a family member ride along?
Yes — in most cases a family member or caregiver is welcome to ride with you at no additional charge. Just tell us when you book so we can plan for the extra seat and let your driver know to expect a second passenger.

What is NEMT?
NEMT — short for Non-Emergency Medical Transportation — is a professional ride service for people who need a safe, dependable way to get to medical care without calling an ambulance. It fills the gap between rideshare and emergency response.
The riders who use it most are seniors who no longer drive, adults living with disabilities, and anyone managing a condition that makes driving risky. NEMT vehicles are matched to the rider — wheelchair-accessible vans, stretcher-capable transport, and standard cars with drivers trained in walking assistance.
Some trips are recurring, like dialysis sessions three times a week or weekly physical therapy. Others are one-time, like a discharge ride home after surgery or a single specialist consult. The aim never changes: making sure people can reach the care that keeps them healthier, more independent, and connected to their community.
Powered by Modern Technology
Our rides are coordinated through Duet, a leading NEMT software platform, which gives you live vehicle tracking, dependable scheduling, and direct communication with your driver from the moment you book.
More Than a Ride
A booking with us is a decision about the care of someone a family loves. We don't take that lightly. From the first phone call through the moment your loved one is back home, every step is shaped by one promise: nobody we transport — and nobody waiting for them to arrive — should ever have to second-guess the ride.
