Non-Emergency Medical Transportation in Washington, DC
Safe, reliable rides for seniors and individuals with disabilities.
Why Choose Us
Washington, D.C. is a city of four quadrants, heavy federal-commute traffic, and medical facilities clustered along Irving Street and Reservoir Road in the NW — which means a ride from Anacostia or Capitol Hill to a specialist can take 30-45 minutes in rush hour. We provide door-to-door medical transportation throughout Washington, D.C. and the surrounding metro area for dialysis sessions at DaVita Union Plaza, scheduled visits to MedStar Washington Hospital Center or MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, cross-state trips to specialists in Bethesda or Baltimore, and everyday rides that keep life moving.
Every ride starts at your front door. Our drivers greet you, help you into the vehicle, and make sure you're comfortable before pulling away. When your appointment wraps up, they're already there waiting. It's the kind of care you'd arrange for your own parent — attentive, on time, and built around the understanding that the person riding with us is the person someone loves most.

They made a really stressful discharge day so much easier. The driver arrived early, helped me into the vehicle, and made sure I was comfortable the entire ride home. I'll definitely book again.

My mother has dialysis three times a week and I can't always be there to drive her. This service has been incredibly dependable — never a missed pickup, never late. It's taken such a weight off our family.
– Michelle H.
My husband uses a wheelchair and the experience was outstanding. The driver secured his chair carefully, helped with every step, and treated us with real respect. What could have been a difficult day felt calm and manageable.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I book a ride?
Booking a ride is simple — phone us at 877-369-5457 or use the "Book a Ride" button on this website. We recommend placing non-urgent requests a day or two ahead, though same-day trips are often doable depending on where you are in the District.
Do you accept Medicaid, Medicare or other health insurance?
We take credit card or cash payment if you book directly with us. For payment using health plans or 3rd party-payers, you will need to contact these parties directly to secure authorization of the trips and many of them may require you to book directly through them.
How far in advance should I schedule?
For routine appointments, 24-48 hours of lead time is the standard. Recurring trips like dialysis get locked into a standing weekly schedule. For rush-hour crossings or cross-state trips to NIH in Bethesda or Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, book earlier — Beltway traffic adds real time. Same-day rides may be available.
What if I need a wheelchair-accessible vehicle?
Just tell us at booking and we'll send the right van your way. Our accessible vehicles come equipped with ramps and secure tie-down systems, and we can handle manual wheelchairs, power wheelchairs, and mobility scooters. Let us know what you use and the rest is on us.
Can a family member or caregiver ride with me?
Companion riders are part of what we do — a family member or caregiver is welcome to come along at no extra charge in most cases. Mention it when you book so the driver has a seat prepared for them.

What is NEMT?
NEMT stands for Non-Emergency Medical Transportation — a professional ride service for people who need a safe, dependable way to reach medical care but aren't in a situation that calls for an ambulance.
Riders who depend on NEMT are often older adults who no longer drive, people living with disabilities, and anyone managing a chronic condition. Vehicles are built around those needs — wheelchair-accessible vans with ramps and tie-downs, stretcher transport for patients who can't sit upright, and standard cars paired with drivers trained in walking assistance.
Most trips support recurring care — dialysis three times a week, physical therapy, chemotherapy, a standing doctor visit — while others are one-time rides after outpatient surgery or a hospital discharge. The goal is simple: make sure the ride never becomes the reason someone misses the care keeping them healthy.
Powered by Modern Technology
Every ride we operate runs on Duet, a leading NEMT software platform that delivers live vehicle tracking, locked-in scheduling, and clear communication between you and your driver from booking to drop-off.
More Than a Ride
When a family calls us, they're handing over the care of someone they love. We take that seriously. From the first phone call to the moment the front door closes on a completed trip, everything we do is built around one promise: the person riding with us, and the people waiting at home, never have to worry about the ride.
