Why Choose Us
Oak Ridge is a quiet, residential community in Guilford County — but when it comes to healthcare, nearly every appointment means traveling to Greensboro, Kernersville, or Winston-Salem. Whether you're heading to Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center for a specialist consultation, Cone Health Moses Cone Hospital for a follow-up, or Fresenius Kidney Care Northwest Greensboro for dialysis three times a week, getting there safely takes more than just a car and directions along NC-68. We provide professional, door-to-door medical transportation for Oak Ridge residents — covering hospital visits, dialysis rides, doctor appointments, and the everyday trips that keep life on track.
Our drivers arrive at your front door, help you to the vehicle, and make sure you're settled and comfortable before the drive begins. When you're finished with your appointment, they're waiting. My sister needs rides to her pulmonologist every other week. The service is so reliable that I've stopped even thinking about it. That's the highest compliment I can give — it just works.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I book a ride?
You can reach us at 877-369-5457 or use the "Book a Ride" button right on our website. For non-urgent appointments, we suggest giving us a day or two of notice, though same-day rides may be available based on where you're located.
Do you accept Medicaid, Medicare or other health insurance?
We take credit card or cash payment if you book directly with us. For payment using health plans or 3rd party-payers, you will need to contact these parties directly to secure authorization of the trips and many of them may require you to book directly through them.
How far in advance should I schedule?
For routine visits, a day or two of lead time works best — especially since most medical facilities are 15-25 minutes away in Greensboro, Kernersville, or Winston-Salem. For recurring needs like dialysis, we'll build a standing schedule so your rides are locked in every week.
What if I need a wheelchair-accessible vehicle?
Tell us when you're booking and we'll make sure a wheelchair-accessible van is ready for your ride. Our vehicles have ramps and secure tie-down systems built in, and we handle manual wheelchairs, power chairs, and scooters.
Can a family member or caregiver ride with me?
Of course. We welcome a family member or caregiver to come along on the ride, and there's typically no additional cost. Mention it when you're booking so we can make sure there's room and your driver knows to expect them.

What is NEMT?
NEMT — Non-Emergency Medical Transportation — provides a safe, professional ride for anyone who needs to get to a medical appointment but doesn't need an ambulance. It's built for the space between emergency care and being able to drive on your own.
NEMT serves seniors who no longer drive, people living with disabilities, and anyone whose health condition makes it difficult to get behind the wheel safely. Vehicles are built to match each rider's needs — wheelchair-accessible vans with ramps and tie-downs, stretcher transport for those who can't sit upright, and standard cars with drivers trained to provide hands-on walking support.
Common NEMT rides include recurring appointments like dialysis, radiation therapy, and physical rehabilitation, along with one-time trips for outpatient surgery pickups or hospital discharges. The purpose is simple: making sure people can reach the care they need to stay healthy and live independently.
Powered by Modern Technology
Every ride is powered by Duet, a trusted NEMT software platform that delivers real-time tracking, dependable scheduling, and direct communication between you and your driver throughout the trip.
More Than a Ride
Every time someone books a ride with us, they're placing a loved one in our hands. We don't take that lightly. From the first phone call to the moment your family member is safely home, everything we do centers on one promise: no one in our care should ever have a reason to worry about the ride.
