Non-Emergency Medical Transportation in Indian Head, MD
Safe, reliable rides for seniors and individuals with disabilities.
Why Choose Us
Indian Head sits on a peninsula at the western edge of Charles County, and almost every medical appointment requires a 15 to 45-minute drive — to UM Charles Regional Medical Center in La Plata, MedStar Southern Maryland in Clinton, or specialty hospitals up in DC and Bethesda. With only MD-210 in and out of town and very limited public transit, getting to care can be the hardest part of staying healthy. We provide door-to-door non-emergency medical transportation across Indian Head and the surrounding Charles County area for dialysis sessions at Fresenius Kidney Care Waldorf, specialist visits, hospital trips, and the everyday rides — church, the grocery store, family gatherings — that keep life moving.
Each ride begins at your front door. Our drivers walk up the steps to meet you, help you to the vehicle, and make sure you're settled before pulling away. When the appointment is done, they're already there waiting — no phone calls, no scrambling. It's the kind of attentive, on-time service you'd want for your own mother or father, built on the simple idea that the person riding with us is the person you love most.

Testimonials
After my cardiac catheterization, the medical team specifically recommended this transport service. Now I know why. Professional, punctual, and genuinely caring people.
– Terry S.
I booked standing weekly rides for my grandfather. The communication is excellent — I get notified when he's picked up and dropped off. For a long-distance caregiver, that transparency is everything.
– Victor N.
I've been using this service for wheelchair transport for six months now. Every single ride has been safe, comfortable, and on time. Consistency like that lets me focus on my health instead of my transportation.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I book a ride?
Give us a call at 877-369-5457 or tap the "Book a Ride" button at the top of our website. For non-urgent trips we recommend reaching out 24 to 48 hours in advance, though same-day rides are sometimes possible depending on driver availability in your area.
Do you accept Medicaid, Medicare or other health insurance?
We take credit card or cash payment if you book directly with us. For payment using health plans or 3rd party-payers, you will need to contact these parties directly to secure authorization of the trips and many of them may require you to book directly through them.
How far in advance should I schedule my ride?
Because Indian Head sits on a peninsula and most appointments are 15 to 45 minutes away in La Plata, Clinton, Fort Washington, or DC, we recommend booking 24 to 48 hours ahead. Early-morning dialysis runs and DC-area specialty visits should be scheduled even further out for an on-time pickup.
Do your vehicles accommodate wheelchairs?
Yes — just let us know when you book. We have wheelchair-accessible vans fitted with ramps and secure tie-down systems, and we handle manual wheelchairs, power chairs, and scooters. The right vehicle is matched to your ride at booking so there are no surprises on the day.
Can a family member ride along?
Of course — a family member or caregiver is welcome to come along in most cases at no extra charge. Just let us know when you book so the driver knows to expect two riders and the vehicle is set up for everyone to travel comfortably.
Questions? We're here to help!
What is NEMT?
NEMT — short for Non-Emergency Medical Transportation — is a professional ride service for people who need a safe, dependable way to reach medical appointments but don't require an ambulance. Think dialysis runs, specialist visits, hospital discharges, and follow-up care.
The riders who depend on NEMT are typically seniors who've stopped driving, adults with disabilities, and anyone managing a long-term condition that makes driving unsafe. The vehicles are built for those riders — wheelchair-accessible vans, stretcher transport, and standard vehicles with drivers trained in hands-on walking assistance.
Many trips repeat on a fixed schedule — dialysis, radiation, physical therapy — while others are one-time rides after outpatient surgery or a hospital stay. Either way, the purpose stays the same: getting people to the care that keeps them healthy and independent.
Powered by Modern Technology
Every ride we provide is powered by Duet, a leading NEMT software platform. That gives you real-time vehicle tracking, dependable scheduling, and clear communication between you and your driver from the moment you book until drop-off.
More Than a Ride
When someone books a ride with us, they're trusting us with the safety of someone they love. We don't take that lightly. From the first phone call to the moment your loved one is back through their own front door, every part of what we do is built around one promise: nobody should ever have to worry about how the trip will go.
