Non-Emergency Medical Transportation in Cumberland, IN
Safe, reliable rides for seniors and individuals with disabilities.
Why Choose Us
Cumberland sits on the far east edge of the Indianapolis metro with no hospital of its own, so nearly every medical trip means heading west into the city or east to Greenfield. That's a real barrier for residents who no longer drive. We provide professional, door-to-door medical transportation across Cumberland and the surrounding Marion and Hancock county area — to Community Hospital East on North Ritter Avenue, IU Health Methodist Hospital downtown, dialysis sessions, specialist visits, and the everyday rides that keep life moving, like church along Washington Street or a trip to the grocery store.
Every ride begins at your front door. Our drivers greet you, help you to the vehicle, and make sure you're settled before pulling away. When your appointment wraps up, they're waiting to take you home. It's the kind of attentive, on-time service you'd arrange for your own parent — because we know the person riding with us is the person you love most.
On-Time, Every Time
We know medical appointments can't wait. Our providers prioritize punctuality so you never miss a treatment.

Testimonials
After a week in the hospital, the last thing I wanted was a bumpy, uncomfortable ride. The vehicle was newer, the suspension was smooth, and the driver took the gentlest route. Much appreciated.
– Donald V.
I moved for work but my elderly mother stayed behind. Knowing she has reliable rides to all her appointments lets me sleep at night. The drivers truly care about their passengers.
– Roy K.
The driver positioned my wheelchair near the window so I could see outside during the ride. It seems like a small thing but it made the trip so much more pleasant. Thoughtful service.
– Vivian S.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I book a ride?
Booking is simple — call us at 877-369-5457 or click the "Book a Ride" button here on our website. For trips that aren't urgent, we recommend reserving 24-48 hours in advance, though same-day rides may be possible depending on where you are.
Do you accept Medicaid, Medicare or other health insurance?
We take credit card or cash payment if you book directly with us. For payment using health plans or 3rd party-payers, you will need to contact these parties directly to secure authorization of the trips and many of them may require you to book directly through them.
How far in advance should I schedule my ride?
For routine appointments, 24-48 hours of lead time works best. Since Cumberland has no hospital of its own, most medical trips cross into Indianapolis or head east to Greenfield, and westbound rush-hour rides run longer — so booking ahead helps. For dialysis and other recurring needs, we can set up a standing schedule.
Do your vehicles accommodate wheelchairs?
Yes. Let us know when you book and we'll assign a wheelchair-accessible van fitted with a ramp and secure tie-down system. We handle manual wheelchairs, power wheelchairs, and scooters, so the right vehicle is always matched to your ride.
Can a family member ride along?
Of course — in most cases a family member or caregiver is welcome to come along at no added cost. Just let us know when you book so the driver can plan for the extra seat.

What is NEMT?
NEMT is short for Non-Emergency Medical Transportation. It's a professional ride service for people who need a safe, dependable way to reach medical care but aren't facing an emergency that calls for an ambulance.
The riders who count on NEMT are usually seniors who've given up driving, people living with disabilities, and anyone whose condition makes driving hard or unsafe. The vehicles match those needs — wheelchair-accessible vans with ramps and tie-downs, stretcher transport, and standard cars with drivers trained to help on foot.
Some NEMT rides happen on a repeating schedule — dialysis several times a week, cancer treatment, physical therapy, regular checkups. A hospital discharge or a trip home following outpatient surgery, by contrast, may come up just once. The aim stays the same either way: connecting people with the care that keeps them healthy and independent.
Powered by Modern Technology
Every ride we provide runs on Duet, a leading software platform built for NEMT. That means real-time vehicle tracking, dependable scheduling, and clear communication between you and your driver.
More Than a Ride
Booking a ride with us means handing over the care of a parent, a spouse, or a close friend. We don't take that lightly. From the first phone call to the moment your loved one is back home, everything we do is shaped around one promise: no one should ever have to worry about the ride.
