Non-emergency medical transportation in Capitol Heights, MD

Non-Emergency Medical Transportation in Capitol Heights, MD

Safe, reliable rides for seniors and individuals with disabilities.

Why Choose Us

Capitol Heights is a tightly packed Prince George's County town pressed right up against the DC line, and many of its longtime residents never replaced the Metro Blue Line with a car. That's a real problem when an appointment moves to UM Capital Region Medical Center in Largo, a dialysis chair opens at Metro Renal Associates, or a discharge waits at MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center. We provide professional, door-to-door medical transportation for Capitol Heights and the surrounding Prince George's County communities — covering dialysis sessions, hospital trips, primary care, and the everyday rides that keep life moving along Central Avenue and Marlboro Pike.

Every trip starts at your front door. Our drivers greet you, walk you to the vehicle, and make sure you're settled before we pull away. When the appointment wraps up, we're already there waiting. It's the kind of attention you'd want for your own parent or grandparent — patient, on time, and rooted in the simple truth that the rider in our care belongs to a family who's trusting us.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I book a ride?

Booking is easy — call us at 877-369-5457, or tap the "Book a Ride" button at the top of any page on the website. We recommend 24 to 48 hours of notice for non-urgent trips, but same-day pickups are sometimes available depending on driver availability close to you.

Do you accept Medicaid, Medicare or other health insurance?

We take credit card or cash payment if you book directly with us. For payment using health plans or 3rd party-payers, you will need to contact these parties directly to secure authorization of the trips and many of them may require you to book directly through them.

How far in advance should I schedule my ride?

For routine appointments, 24 to 48 hours of notice works best, and dialysis can go on a standing schedule. Capitol Heights sits within roughly 10 miles of three major hospitals, so most local trips are short. Beltway rush hour and DC specialty trips do need extra buffer time.

Do your vehicles accommodate wheelchairs?

Yes — just flag it during the booking. Our wheelchair-accessible vans are outfitted with the proper ramps and tie-down systems, and we accommodate manual chairs, power chairs, and scooters. The right vehicle gets assigned to your trip the moment the booking comes through.

Can a family member ride along?

Of course — a family member or caregiver is welcome along at no extra cost in most cases. Mention it on the booking call so we can plan for an extra seat in the vehicle.

Questions? We're here to help!

What is NEMT?

NEMT — short for Non-Emergency Medical Transportation — is a dedicated ride service for people who need a safe way to medical care but don't require an ambulance. Think dialysis runs, doctor visits, and post-discharge transport.

The riders who rely on NEMT are usually seniors who've given up driving, adults living with disabilities, or anyone whose health condition makes a car or a Metro trip impractical. The vehicles fit those riders — wheelchair vans with ramps, stretcher-equipped transport, and standard cars with drivers trained in walking assistance.

A lot of NEMT trips run on a fixed weekly rhythm — dialysis a few times a week, chemotherapy, physical therapy, monthly check-ins. Others are one-off rides home after an outpatient procedure or hospital stay. The purpose is simple: keep people connected to the care that lets them stay healthy and independent.

Powered by Modern Technology

Every ride we run is powered by Duet, a leading NEMT software platform. That means Capitol Heights riders get real-time tracking, dependable scheduling, and clear communication with the driver from booking through drop-off.

More Than a Ride

When a family hands us the keys to a loved one's care, we treat that handoff with the seriousness it deserves. From the booking call through the safe drop-off back home, everything is built around one promise: nobody riding with us — and nobody waiting on the porch — should ever have to worry about the ride.
